As you may have heard by now, we’ve had a horrible summer this year in London. It has been a wet and miserable one, no sun for us unless you went to Europe. So, I was walking home and my eye caught the sun glaring at me, damn was I happy to see the fella showing the love. Maybe there is some hope left for a bit of sunshine in the last weeks of September!

How has your summer been? Hopefully London will have a better outlook next year, if not, we can always go to Europe!
Well it is now official folks, feeding the pigeons in Trafalgar Square is against the law from today onwards. Wardens have been employed to tackle people feeding the pigeons in the famous Trafalgar Square. You can face a fine of up to £50 if caught, why risk it? Thousands of tourists flock to the famous Trafalgar Square each year and visit the National Gallery while they are there. The area recently had a £25 million facelift and they not want the image ruined by the pigeons. It has been claimed that the pigeons are becoming a health risk. There can be up to 4000 pigeons during one day around Trafal Square, can you see their point?

The Mayor’s Thames Festival is all about celebrating London’s river with amazing open air arts, pyrotechnics, illuminations, river events, street theatre, massed choirs and music. This is the 10th year anniversary and it is bound to be better than ever. It is all happening on Saturday the 15th of September and Sunday the 16th of September. Best thing about the whole Mayor’s Thames Festival is that a lot of the activities and shows will be free to charge. So even if you are flat broke you can enjoy a bit of London celebrations by the thames river.
