London Street Art Work

About three months ago I decided to purchase a Nokia N95 because I keep on seeing things in London I want to take photographs of. There is so much to see in London and it is forever changing, which is great, you will never get bored of London, or so I hope at least. The Nokia N95 now travels with me everywhere I go and I still hope that I can manage to snap a few interesting snaps on the go!

London is like basically a mini Europe, something for everyone to experience and if you love the arts and crafts then you’re in for a treat. I am no art fan, probably because I’ve been told that I am culture deprived.

Earlier in the week we were in Leicester Square to watch the new Iron Man movie at the Film Premiere, was quite exciting, anyway on our way back we discovered a hidden piece of art work which may not have lived for another day as we have super efficient street cleaners. Take a look at this nifty piece of art work we managed to capture on film before it was ruined, who knows, it might still be there if we’re lucky!

Acceptable Behaviour

I am no eco-warrior or green freak but I have been brought up not to litter even though as kids we did drop the occasional piece of paper on the ground instead of throwing it into a bin, thinking about it now, it still amazes me how the guilt still hovers around me when I think about it.

Walking through the streets I have noticed a lot of people throwing their rubbish on the pavement, not even doing it discreetly but in full view of everyone else. That made me wonder, when has it become acceptable behaviour to litter the way we do? Where did all the morals and values go?

It is actually such a shame that people have to beg one another to save the world, that we can’t think to ourselves that it must be wrong what we’re doing, yet we still continue to do it.

No Name Brand Delights

There are a few tips I have learned over the last couple of years that could save you a few pounds if you’re not too proud to go out there and do them. The trick in finding all these tips is to talk to a variety of people whether it be visiting their personal blogs or starting a random conversation in a pub. That is why we always say that you can survive in London despite London being one of the most expensive cities to live in.

When we first arrived in London we had never heard of some of the brands available in the supermarkets, so we had to explore everything to find something that we can relate to or at least enjoy. We are still experimenting as there are tonnes of products out there. One of those cracker deals are the store’s own basics brand chocolate slabs / 100g bars. Cadbury’s normally sell their 100g chocolate bars for around a pound to a pound fifty. Now imagine the same size chocolate bar for around 25p! That is a damn bargain if it tastes exactly the same.

Let me officially introduce you to the basics / smart price brands from the major supermarkets in London. The only reasons why I can see that people do not buy these more often is because these stores do not advertise them at all and that they have shabby looking wrapping. Explore a bit more; you’ll be pleasantly surprised at what you can find in London.
