Avoid the RSI

Friday, May 9th, 2008 | General with

Folks, let’s face it that we’ve been pretty bad in the last week in keeping Stooly.com as updated as it should be. Well, we have been working on a few new articles that should go on the website by Sunday and we’re working on a sister website, so bare with us.

Anyway, now that I got that out in the open, it’s been a hectic couple of weeks in London. I have developed a strange but not uncommon condition called RSI. The minute I mentioned the three letters RSI, the HR department at work freaked out. Apparently RSI can not be proven and neither can stress, so you basically can be off work for long periods of time and still get paid for it but watch out if they send your occupational health, hehe!

What exactly is RSI? It is actually called repetitive strain injury which occurs mostly in computer users or when playing way too many games on the Wii. The pain can be unbearable in your upper arms, lower arms and in your hands, trust me, I know. If you spend more than five hours on the computer during the day, I would strongly recommend you Google a few exercises to do for your arms and hands to avoid getting RSI as sticks around for a few years and could cause complications throughout your life. Google RSI today and find out more for yourself.

P.S - On the topic of new articles, like we said before, if you want to know something specific or just chat about life in London then leave a comment, we’ll pretty much get back to you within a few hours.
