London Junk Food

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007 | Weird & Strange with 2 Comments

It is quite sad to see how many people live in London that can not cook a proper meal. We had this debate at work the other day and I asked a few of the people if they cook at home and their responce was “Uhmm NO”. I was shocked to see that so many of them living in this expensive city still don’t cook for themselves. I know we travel a lot and it takes a lot of time out of your day but seriously, you need proper food in your body as well.

Londoners love junk food whether it be McDonalds, the Kebab shop or even a big fry-up would make them happy. You see kids wandering in the streets stuffing their faces with junk with chips or eating a piece of chicken from the hordes of fried chicken shops open in London. Food in London is not that expensive and you can really make a good meal out of just about everything here and afford it as well. No wonder chefs like Jamie Oliver is making a killing by “educating” the masses with recipes and simple ideas to have a healthier diet than eating junk all day!

I like junk food just as much as the next person but seriously… you need a proper meal in your body as well! All that additives and oil can not be good for you! *Urghhh*

Waterloo Photographer

I was waiting for my bus from work when I saw these two across the street. Odd that they would take photos in the middle of rush hour on a busy pavement in front of Waterloo Station. I think I was a second too late with this photo as the photographer was almost on the ground trying to take a photo of the guy standing on a pole… whatever it might be for, I don’t know.

Thousands of tourists flock to the famous Trafalgar Square each year and visit the National Gallery while they are there. The area recently had a £25 million facelift and they not want the image ruined by the pigeons. It has been claimed that the pigeons are becoming a health risk.
