We are nearing the end of August and it is only a matter of weeks before we notice the sun going down earlier and earlier. The overwhelming orange street lights will be our only source of light outside especially if you are an office worker. Thousands of people in Britain suffer with the winter blues and it does take getting used to. Who seriously wants to spend the entire winter feeling gloomy and blue?

There is a secret weapon to help you battle the winter blues in your own home and it is called daylight bulbs. Daylight bulbs have been around for a while, yet we make little use of them. Most of the daylight bulbs are energy efficient so no need to increase electricity consumption. I bought one of these bulbs yesterday to see how amazing it really is before switching all my light bulbs. The daylight bulb is amazing, that about sums it up for me.

There is one negative to these daylight bulbs, they can be costly but once you have them, I am now referring to the energy efficient daylight bulbs, then they can last for a long time. The one I got cost around £10 but well worth the light it gives and it will definitely make this dark house come to life in winter and hopefully I won’t be suffering with the winter blues. All major stores sell these daylight bulbs but the variety you get at a DIY store is much more.

Do yourself a favour, google it some more, ask people but definitely give the daylight bulb a chance to wow you this winter!
