Matchbox Twenty Live in London

The first word that comes to mind is “WOW”. We have never done the whole concert thing since arriving in London, yeah I know we’re slack but we struggled a bit getting on our feet in the beginning. Anyway, got tickets for Matchbox Twenty months ago, was actually so excited that I actually got tickets for the show as it is a one night only event in London.

Wembley Arena is the latest venue along with The O2 Arena for hosting major concerts and I must admit that I was amazed at how many people they could pack in there. We were not off to the greatest start as it was a wet day in London. We decided to head to Wembley Arena quite early to make sure we found our way in time, when we got there we noticed a rather large queue waiting for the doors to open. To top that off, a lot of people got soaked outside but that was soon forgotten once they opened the doors.

The only thing that annoyed me about the whole experience is that we had to wait about two extra hours for Matchbox Twenty to be on stage but it was well worth it. They sound amazing live and if you can, you should definitely experience it. Unfortunately we could not pick the tickets we wanted and ended up quite a bit from the stage but we could still see everything crystal clear!

You can normally find great tickets at TicketMaster’s website or you could possibly check out Gumtree, a lot of people are selling their tickets there if they can not make it. Watch out for those street ticket touts that push up the prices!
