We have taken the word slacking to a whole new level with the amount of updates posted on Stooly.com lately. Work has been a rollercoaster demanding more of my time but I had to soldier through to get to this point. Some good news…our time has officially changed and pretty soon we will be having a lot more daylight in the evenings.
Anyway we are also preparing for a friend coming from Southern Africa to join us in London in a few days, so it’s been hectic trying to sort out …
Something happened to me last year. A dark hate started brewing for a commercial deep inside of me it is forcing me to spread the hate. Yeah, a little dramatic but if you have seen the advertisement or heard it on the radio then you will feel exactly the same. The most annoying thing of it all is that the advertisement campaign is clearly working as it is stuck in our heads and that is called branding. Now this post is probably giving them more publicity for free but I …
Earlier this week the Mayor of London (Boris Johnson) lifted the police recruitment freeze and pledged to have more police officers on the beat than when he started her mayoral term. The claim is that he “found” an extra £42 million pounds which he is redirecting to Scotland Yard to recruit more police officers. First question, where in the world did he find £42 million pounds after so many people in Government positions, lost their jobs? They had all kinds of smoke detectors and alarms, fire blankets, household fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide alarms.
Before I continue with this story I might as well explain what carbon monoxide is. We come from a country where we do not rely …
Gloom and doom is all we read about in the headlines for the last couple of weeks. The Government for one made a lot of cuts last year to benefit the country in the years to come but it will not make 2011 an easy one. The Government then decided to increase the VAT rate from 17.5% to 20% and all forms of public transport increased their fares. That is just some of the fun things all Londoners will experience this year.
This is as good time as any to get …
I have been tossing and turning for the last hour and a half, finally decided to get out of bed and do something constructive. The insomnia could be sparked by the fact that I had way too much sleep today due to a clingy migraine which simply refuses to leave me for a week now. Whilst I was in bed tossing and turning it hit me that Neurofen could be behind a major conspiracy with regards to London doctors.
Ok, I may be going nuts here or I may have had …
