Like we have said many times before, you do not have to earn a fortune to live a decent life style in London. Yes, some things are expensive but luckily we have a lot of competition that drives down prices. Stooly.com will be posting more posts about living on a budget in London for those who would like to spend less money on the have-to’s and more on the want-to’s.
We dabbled today in making Broccoli and Stilton (Blue Cheese) Soup. The recipe was quite quick to follow and you hardly …
*Walks sheepishly into the room*… yes, we have been missing in action for almost two weeks since our last post and I apologise. Blizzard released their latest expansion pack for World of Warcraft on the 7th of December and since then I have been playing non-stop every spare minute I had at home. This game is highly addictive and I am a sucker for it every winter now it seems. The best thing about living in London is the ability to get your hands on the latest games quickly and …
It has been one hectic day in London in terms of the travel chaos. I had forgotten what it can be like when London finally receives snow. The thought of snow is quite exciting but it causes a lot of misery to thousands of commuters in London.
A little bit of snow on a railway track and we have delays until kingdom come for some bizarre reason. Why the heck the people in charge do not fly out to Russia or Poland and find out how they manage each year without …

You really get to see things up close and personal and get a feel for the events that happened. The Imperial War Museum has an impressive collection of war artefacts and their exhibitions are top notch.
Considering that you do not have to pay an entrance fee, the museum is well looked after. Donations are …
There is this brilliant area smack in the middle of Southbank where skateboarders come together to practice or show off their moves. The skate park is not very big but it compliments the area nicely and you tend to see new faces all the time. The Southbank is the perfect place to walk around, take in the views and hardly spend a penny. There is always something going on with the BFI being right there as well as the Hayward Gallery.
There is no admission …
This guy is on the same street corner at Waterloo for the last couple of months. It is both a vehicle and a mobile coffee stand that only uses solar power. That is one risky business in winter when there is hardly any good sunshine about to charge those solar panels. This guy is braving the elements every day to make an honest living and people should rather be buying coffee from him than Starbucks, unless his coffee tastes horrible. I have yet to purchase a cup from him but …
