Brighton is the closest and our most accessible link to visiting the coast. We have the perfect idea to sit on the beach and to enjoy the fresh see breeze in our faces with a drink or two in our hand. Brighton is not what you would expect at all. First of all, there are no golden sand beaches around. You will only see miles and miles of pebbles covering what is supposed to be a beach but never the less; Brighton can still be enjoyed and is enjoyed by everyone that goes there. There won’t be an open space on the beach when we do eventually see summer again.

Brighton is easily accessible from London by taking South West Trains down. South West Trains have great deals when it comes to weekend breaks and you could easily get a return ticket from London to Brighton and back for less than £20. You can also get to Brighton by driving or taking a coach. A coach ticket would be a lot less than a train ticket if you book in advance. National Express and MegaBus is quite popular to take when visiting Brighton.

There is a ten minute walk from Brighton Station to Brighton Pier which is Brighton’s best attraction. The Brighton Pier is made for entertainment as they’ve built a mini theme park on it. Imagine being on a rollercoaster on the edge of the pier on the middle of the ocean. I’ve not been brave enough to tell the tale but I have been told about it. The Pier reeks of fish and chips which everyone loves to eat when visiting the coast. Sea Life is located across the street from Brighton Pier and definitely worth a visit if you like marine life. You will also find on the beach a mini golf course open all year round to enjoy.

Brighton is also known to be very gay friendly and the gay scene is quite large there as well. You will also find that Brighton has a lot of social events throughout the year that is not to be missed. Brighton is interesting and exciting and you will have a great time there none the less. Shopping in Brighton is pretty much like London shopping but you can still find something there you won’t find in London.
