Oyster Card - Used on all forms of public transport in London. Find out what you need, how it works and how you can benefit from having an oyster card.
Journey Planner - Real time website for planning your journey around London. All you need is a postcode or station name and it will work out the best possible way of getting there.

Legal Advice:

Citizens Advice Bureau - Best free legal advice organisation around. If you have any problems with an emloyer, dodgy landlord, benefits or seek any form of legal advice, these are the people to get advice from. Run by volunteers. You can phone them at certain days or see them in person. Do not let people or companies abuse the fact that you are not from the United Kingdom, you do have a right as well.

Sports:

London 2012 Olympic Games - The London 2012 Olympic Games will need about 70 000 volunteers to make the games a success. You can be a part of that 70 000 volunteers by checking out their Volunteer Programme.

Environment:

Recycle for London - A great website to urge more Londoners to recycle. You can get involved by phoning your council and arranging with them to deliver recycling bags to your address. This is normally done free of charge. You can also give something away, either on Gumtree or donate it to charity. That saves a lot of unnecessarily rubbish being dumped on the landfill.
